Technology design-to-delivery of a lifestyle television channel
FoodFood is an Indian food and lifestyle channel. It is a joint venture between Malaysia-based Astro Overseas Limited (Astro) and Sanjeev Kapoor. Chef Sanjeev Kapoor is the most celebrated face of Indian cuisine today, TV show host, author of best-selling cookbooks, restaurant consultant, architect of a unique range of food products and winner of numerous awards. Astro Overseas Limited, the international business unit of Malaysia based Astro Holdings SB, is an integrated multi-media group with interests in pay-TV, radio and traditional and digital content production, aggregation and distribution across Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
The Assignment
CastleMedia were engaged to design and deliver the technology for India’s first channel that was completely produced in High Definition (2011). CastleMedia’s team worked on all technology facets from supporting field production in HD to post production and transmission. The advanced HD technology was designed, installed and commissioned in a record time to meet the critical deadlines for launch.
CastleMedia also helped set-up an end-to-end Digital Asset Management solution for the channel and ensured provisioning of resources for the same.
CastleMedia continues to provide technology and operational support to FoodFood even today, through a panel of off-site and on-site technical experts and engineers.
